About
Jay Peters is the Owner of Jay’s Tree & Shrub Care and is a second generation Certified Arborist, trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of arboriculture.
Jay grew up in the tree care industry. His father John Peters owned and operated Bergquist Tree Experts, Inc., where Jay learned his trade. His father John was part of the first group in Illinois to ever receive certification as an Arborist, (#IL0036a). Jay worked for his father at Bergquist Tree Experts, Inc. for 16 years, from 1983 through 1999.
In 1999, Jay started his own company, Jays Tree and Shrub Care. Jay is a Certified Arborist for over 20 years with the International Society of Arboriculture and also works with the Board of the Illinois Arborist Association helping to promote the value of the tree care industry.
